Are You Secretly An Introvert?

Author Donald Miller has some pretty enlightening articles on his blog. Recently I stumbled upon this and was amazed to realize that, yes, I’m an introvert! “23 Signs You’re Secretly an Introvert” – http://www.huffingtonpost.com
I live in a family spilling over with extroverts. Their boundless energy simply overwhelms me at times. Even today, my 78 year-old mother can run circles around me. Each Sunday during football season, for the past thirty years, she’s made huge batches of cookies for an entire football team! And, don’t even get me started on how the woman tailgates. Let’s just say that Miss Leigh’s tailgate parties, on green campus lawns, require the assistance of several strong football players and a crew of grandsons to help load and unload the furniture!
So, in light of my new found identity as an introvert and with football season just around the corner, I’d like to make an announcement. I believe I’ll sit this season out and do some writing, or float in a boat, or simply enjoy the benefits of my new identity. Nah, I’ll do the right thing and drive my parents to some games, smile and cheer and yell my heart out. But inside, you’ll know the truth about me. ~ Go Tigers and Roll Tide ~

About Annie

Known for her colorful characters and distinctively Southern locales, Annie Cole has a true passion for storytelling. She credits her ability for weaving an imaginative tale to her Creator and every story about this Southern life finds a way to point back to Him. Descending from a long line of storytellers, Annie is indebted to her grandmother whose captivating stories of life growing up on a Louisiana plantation instilled in her a love of legends and folklore which she artfully intertwines with the deeper truths of her faith. She and her husband make their home in the Muscle Shoals area near the banks of the “Singing River” where they enjoy the art, music, literature, and faith of their community. To date, Annie has written four novels with a fifth book in the works. When she is not writing, she loves spending time with her family, speaking to community groups, and enjoying the outdoors.
